Since it's already November 5th somewhere in the world, let the festivities commence!

(Some, if not all, individual tributes aren't set to publish until after midnight ET.)

Party on!

I feel funny getting all intimate, yet, because we kind of just met. But, well.......I think you're cute.

I am going to do a few posts on my blog later, honestly..... but first I have to go and get drunk to celebrate you guys electing your first non-embarrassing President in my lifetime. Well done!

Ha, when I nitwit. I completely forgot to join in the Moonie celebrations - however, it must have been fate, because my blogpost for the day is actually all about Moonie - and her haiku competition!

Yeah, go Moonie - and Obama - and thank you, Americans!

I didn't arrive until recently as I was trying to avoid any and all distractions from my writing, but the great lunar one, Moonrat's charm proved too much for me to resist. Now I never miss a post.

I've been away from the blogisphere for a couple of months to focus on my book. You were the only "industry" blog I checked while I was away.

Have a wonderful day, Moonrat. You deserve it.

Yours is one of those blogs I check every day, and read every word. It's not just informative, it's bloody entertaining.

Thanks for that, and happy anniversary.

Blast, I wasn't invited. I need to check my spam.

but first I have to go and get drunk to celebrate you guys electing your first non-embarrassing President in my lifetime.

How do you know that? Just curious.

Julie Weathers said...

Congratulations, Moonie. I have really come to enjoy your blog tremendously. Of course, the first thing that caught me was a story about Momrat. In the following months, you made the cut every time I deleted more blogs from my list so I would focus more on writing and less on blogging.

You are dearly loved. I will try to post a Martha and Tilley story in your honor tonight. That is the highest honor anyone gets.

Ten thousand years from now our descendents will uncover shrines to a great goddess, the Rat of the Moon, and they will marvel at the devotion she inspired in her disciples. Or something.

Thanks for two great blogging years, Moonrat, and here's hoping for many more. :)

Kimberley Griffiths Little said...

Sorry about the bomb, Precie!

If you want to "friend" me, I'm doing a locked post about my news today or tomorrow on Live Journal. Gulp.

Hey folks--I wrote this post for the blog, but it doesn't seem to have made it over to the official anniversary page. Doubtless the fault is mine, (I'm pretty sure I emailed someone, but it is the day after election day and I'm pretty tired), but here it is. http://mariemockett.blogspot.com/2008/11/edass-unmasked.html

Moonie,

I can't thank you enough for all the time you spend encouraging us writers and helping us understand what it's like on the other side of the desk! I'm a faithful reader of your blog, and though I don't comment often enough, I so appreciate your advice, outlook and great sense of humor! Thanks for all you do, and best wishes for continued success.

Happy Anniversary!

Okay, I'm being green and recycling and reusing - plus one of my sons is away at UofO - so I couldn't get a new one.

Okay, okay, Moonie, I'm fessin'! My agent says I can spill the beans. And it will be on Publisher's Lunch sometime but I'm not sure when.

I'm giddy. I'm thrilled. I'm pinching myself - and truly cannot quite believe it. This has been YEARS in the making.

Scholastic Press is giving me a fabulous THREE-book deal!!!!!

Two Middle-grade novels and one Young Adult. Titles: THE HEALING SPELL, SECRET RITES OF THE GODDESS, and THE TRAITEUR'S DAUGHTER.

You'll find sushi, quiche, canapes and bubbly in the corner so help yourself everyone! Oh, and brownies, of course. With milk.
